Food

We love it!  I have often described some of my memorable food experiences as “Ratatouille Moments.”  You know that scene in the movie Ratatouille where the food critic tastes the ratatouille (check my recipe here!) and it brings him right back to when he was a little boy in his farmhouse kitchen?  That moment where the taste of something just brings you right to a particular place or back to the time you had with someone special?  That’s my Ratatouille Moment.

As a kid, my mom frequently made ratatouille for us.  She was French, and loved to take us to another place with her food.  Her food was simple (except when she was taking on a particular challenge like croissants or large-scale fancy parties), fresh, local and inspired.

I hope to share that remarkable spirit with you here.  I’ll share recipes, or food that someone else lovingly prepared for me.  It’s a delicious journey!
